I set up Wagz n Whiskas in March 2020 after being made redundant from Carlisle Airport through Covid.
I have always owned pets from a child (furred, feathered & finned), my love for them has grown into my adult life even more. I am passionate about learning and understanding all different types of animals.
My experience in pet care is from having my own and caring for family friends and volunteering over the years. This has led me to Houghall College in Durham to study my City & Guilds qualifications in Land based studies & Dog grooming.
At Wagz ‘n’ Whiskas only the best is good enough for your pets. We treat your dog as it were ours, giving them only the best care and attention.
Our dog grooming salon is state of the art and caters for all types and sizes of dogs. Your pooch will be pampered and will be returned to you looking fabulous.
Deep coat penetration provides an invigorating massaging bathing experience which stimulates hair follicles thus promoting coat growth & improved coat & skin condition.
Discounts of £5 will be given on dogs booked on a 6 week rota system.
The welfare of your dog is our priority. If your dog is matted I will only spend 15 mins trying to remove the mats.
This will be charged at an additional £6.
After the stated 15 min de-matting period, if the dog continues to be matted, we will clip your dog using a short blade.
This will be charged at a further £10.
